Covid-19 and Your Health Options

Covid-19

Our hearts go out to the many people and businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 virus and who have been affected by this unprecedented event. We appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus.  As we face the difficult challenge of responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on Wednesday; and as the outbreak expands, many families and businesses worldwide are experiencing uncertainty. As always we see it as our duty, during this difficult time, to promote health and safety among the community at large.

As always, our goal is to provide our best in class digital health solutions for families, businesses, mobile workers and individuals at large.

Current Climate

In this climate, we know your health as well as your family or co-workers’ well-being; has become your top priority. As recommended by the World Health Organization, social distancing is highly advisable to avoid breathing in droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if a person coughing has the disease is in close proximity to you.  With Medek you can skip the waiting room and instead see the doctor on your mobile device.

We want to thank you in advance for putting your trust in MEDEK as you plan your health and wellness needs. Below is an update on what we are doing, keeping your safety top of mind.

What Are The Symptoms

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is characterized by mild symptoms including a runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fever. Illness can be more severe for some people and can lead to pneumonia or breathing difficulties. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. Older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.

  • Runny Nose
  • Fever
  • Sore Throat
  • Cough
  • Difficulty Breathing

With cold sores, you typically get breakouts in the same spots over and over again, but they get less severe each time. The three stages can last for days, but healing can take weeks. Other symptoms include fever, sore throat, headache, inflamed gums, muscle aches, or swollen lymph nodes.

If You Need To Seek Help

Safety comes first. We advise everyone to stay up to date and follow the guidance from the World Health Organization and local authorities on current travel restrictions. Should you wish to speak to a health professional, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the MEDEK team if you have any questions. We’re here to help.

If you don’t want to go to the doctor to get your antiviral drugs, Telemedicine can help. All you have to do is have a quick appointment over your phone. The doctor can see your cold sore and prescribe your antiviral medications. They’ll send a prescription to the pharmacy, and you can pick it up to start your treatment.
